JAF Collection: Professional Analog Sounding Synthesizer Filters for iOS
The JAF Collection is a set of digital modeled classic analog synthesizer filters (VCFs) for iOS. Designed by Jens Guell, these audio effects emphasize professional analog sound and optimized touchscreen usage.
Exclusively available on Apple devices, the JAF Collection includes apps and Audio Units that work seamlessly on both iPhones and iPads. The interface and functionality remain consistent across devices.
These apps function as Audio Units, also known as plugins, and can be used with their own basic host applications. With Core MIDI connectivity and microphone input, the filters can be used as standalone devices, similar to external hardware.
In addition to their filter capabilities, the JAF Collection Filters can also function as a synthesizer module. They feature an unison oscillator section (VCOs) for testing and live performances. While the synthesizer lacks advanced controls or modulators, it can be controlled by external MIDI messages or automated with the volume controller.
